The Reading Eggs of emotional learning.
S Sarah, mum of a 7-year-old

Sound familiar?

The tummy aches that only show up on school mornings.

The meltdown over the wrong-coloured cup.

The bedtime that takes an hour and a half.

The party they wanted to go to, until it was time to leave.

This isn't who they are. They just haven't been shown what to do yet

Watch it. Practise it. Use it.

Three simple steps to a child who's got this.

Watch it

They follow Ricky, a croc who feels it all, and watch him learn the exact skills they need.

Practise it

Then a game makes the skill stick. By practising it in play, they make it truly theirs.

Use it

So when the hard moment comes, they know exactly what to do.

Questions parents ask

Will my child actually want to use it?+

That's the first thing every parent asks. It's built as animated stories where your child is the hero, plus games they want to finish, so it feels like play they choose, not something you have to nag them into.

Isn't this just more screen time?+

It's the opposite of zoning out. In about 10 minutes a day they're building real skills for calming down and handling the hard moments, so it's screen time that gives something back.

How much time does it take?+

About 10 minutes a day. A new game lands each day, so sessions stay short by design.

What will my child actually be doing on it?+

Playing through a short animated story where they learn to spot a big feeling, calm their body, and take one small brave step, then locking it in with a game. The big scary thing gets broken into steps they can actually manage.

My child seems happy enough. Is it still for them?+

Definitely. It isn't about fixing a problem. Every kid hits frustration, nerves and tricky moments like bedtime, drop-off or trying something new, and these are skills that make those easier now and for life.

How is this different from a meditation or mindfulness app?+

Those help a child settle in the moment. InnerSteps goes further and teaches them the skills to handle the next hard moment on their own, using the methods clinicians use, rebuilt as play.

Who built it, and does it actually work?+

Every skill was built with child psychologists using methods used in real clinical practice. It's been featured in Forbes and The Australian, with 20+ awards behind it.

When can I get the app?+

Soon! The new InnerSteps app is on its way. Leave your email and you'll be first to know the moment it lands.

Let your kid just be a kid again.
